Our valued client is actively searching outstanding individuals to join their organisation as a Exploration Manager (10/0757)

Requirements :

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Geology / Geophysics.
  • Minimum 10 years of oil and gas industry experience.
  • Must be very familiar with all aspects relating to exploration, tools and methods, log evaluation and basin modeling including close interface with 2D and 3D seismic.

 

Responsibilities :

  • Translates the company’s vision & mission into exploration goals. Monitor the progress and ensure that strategic objectives are being met on time, within the approved budget and in compliance with the pertinent policy and procedures.
  • Plan and propose the work program & budget for the assigned areas and ensure that costs and expenditures are maintained within the approved budget.
  • Plan and propose a resourcing strategy including Manpower Planning and Recruitment Staffing, Mentoring, Training and Development, Performance Evaluation, Compensation & Benefits, etc. for all staff within the areas of responsibility, to ensure efficient long term operational success.
  • Direct exploration strategies, including partnering, for new and existing concessions and development strategies for new and existing oil/gas and geothermal fields.
  • Recommend technical work done both in-house and outsourced, including the exploration software necessary to support the work.
  • Recommend relinquishment of company’s concessions; prepare final relinquishment reports and supervise return of data to BP MIGAS.
  • Present well proposals to management, partners and government.
  • Recommend methods to ensure maximum data recovery from well, logs, field samples and geophysical activities.
  • Keep abreast of applicable laws and regulations to insure up-to-date compliance.
  • Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, databases, statistical packages, and graphic packages to assemble, manipulate, evaluate and/or format data and/or reports.
  • Perform all other duties as may be required by the business needs of the company.
