Our valued client is actively searching outstanding individuals to join their organisation as a Geophysicist (09/0035)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, Geology or related field
- Maximum age is 45 years old
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in the same position
- Good understanding of geophysical data acquisition and processing
- Must be proficient in processing data using various analytical computer softwares
- Fluent in English both writing and speaking
Responsibilities:
- Reviews, interprets and maps seismic data relating to operated and non-operated and new ventures projects
- Provides the company with an independent geophysical evaluation as a part of an on-going technical review to enable a full commercial evaluation of all assets
- Undertakes seismic structural interpretation, mapping and seismic attribute studies using workstation interpretation, and mapping and cartographic software to identify drillable, economic prospects
- Recommends exploration, appraisal and development well locations that satisfy corporate aims
- Designs, plans and manages appropriate external geophysical work programs and studies
- Perform geophysical studies and writes technical reports
- Liaises with Operators on geophysical studies, well planning, and budgets to optimize economic aims
